GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS RUBY ESCAPE ROOMS –DRACHTEN, ALKMAAR AND ASSEN

These general terms and conditions apply to Escaperoom Drachten BV, located at Morra 2-15, 9204 KH Drachten; Escaperoom Alkmaar BV, located at Hamsterkoog 3 F, 1822 CD Alkmaar; and Ruby Assen BV, located at Afrikaweg 33D, 9407 TL Assen. The escape rooms operated by these companies are located in Drachten, Alkmaar, and Assen and are collectively referred to as Ruby Escape Rooms. The website is www.rubyescaperooms.nl.

Ruby Escape Rooms reserves the right to change information, such as prices and availability, at any time. However, we cannot guarantee that all information provided is accurate or error-free, nor can we be held responsible for any errors or inaccuracies. Changes do not apply to already confirmed bookings. You are advised to verify all information before acting upon it.

ARTICLE 1 – APPLICABILITY

These terms and conditions apply to all quotations, offers, agreements, and the provision of services or goods by or on behalf of Ruby Escape Rooms.

Deviations from these terms are only valid if explicitly agreed upon in writing (by email or letter) by both parties.

ARTICLE 2 – RESERVATIONS

Bookings can be made online via www.rubyescaperooms.nl, by phone using the contact details of the specific location, or by email.

After making a booking, a confirmation email will be sent. If this confirmation email is not received, the booking is not final. Please note that the confirmation email may end up in your spam folder.

Bookings made and confirmed through the website or confirmed via email by Ruby Escape Rooms are binding. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the confirmation has been received.

ARTICLE 3 – PAYMENT

Payments for bookings can be made online via iDeal or on location using a debit card.

ARTICLE 4 – CANCELLATIONS OR RESCHEDULING

• Cancellations or rescheduling are free of charge up to 48 hours in advance.
• For cancellations or changes within 48 hours, 30% of the booking amount will be charged.
• For cancellations or changes less than 24 hours in advance, 50% of the booking amount will be charged.
• In case of a no-show, the full booking amount will be charged.

ARTICLE 5 – DELAYS

All teams must arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled game time to prepare and start the game on time.

If a team arrives more than 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, we cannot guarantee the game can proceed as planned. In such cases, no refund will be issued. If the game can still be started late, this may reduce the total playtime.

ARTICLE 6 – DAMAGE

Ruby Escape Rooms does not tolerate intimidating or abusive behavior toward staff. Anyone disturbing public order, behaving disorderly, or intentionally damaging property will be immediately removed from the premises. Police may be called if necessary. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

If damage is caused intentionally during a visit, the costs will be charged to the responsible party. Ruby Escape Rooms is not liable for damage to clothing or personal belongings unless caused by intent or gross negligence.

Cameras are present for the safety of participants. All instructions must be followed at all times.

ARTICLE 7 – CONFIDENTIALITY

To ensure every player has the best experience, we ask all visitors to keep the room solutions confidential. Sharing solutions may ruin the experience for others and is strongly discouraged.

ARTICLE 8 – ELECTRONICS

Mobile phones and/or cameras are strictly prohibited inside the escape rooms. If such devices are used, the game will be immediately terminated without any form of refund.

ARTICLE 9 – AGE AND TEAM SIZE

For age restrictions and the maximum number of players per room, please refer to our website.

ARTICLE 10 – OWN RISK

All rooms are played at your own risk. This also applies to pregnant individuals, people with claustrophobia, epilepsy, etc.

Individuals sensitive to loud noises are advised to wear hearing protection.

ARTICLE 11 – LIABILITY FOR DAMAGE TO CLOTHING AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Ruby Escape Rooms is not liable for damage to or loss of clothing and personal belongings unless the damage or loss is due to intent or gross negligence. Visitors are advised to leave valuables at home.

ARTICLE 12 – ALCOHOL/DRUGS

The use of drugs and/or alcohol is strictly prohibited. If a staff member suspects a participant is under the influence, participation may be denied without refund.

ARTICLE 13 – APPLICABLE LAW

This agreement is governed exclusively by Dutch law. The Dutch courts have jurisdiction.
